Participated as an elected voting member on the Executive Council of SCFT #1533.
Committee work has included the Part-Time Advisory Council (PTAC), Elections, Membership, and requested ad hoc committees.
Have worked for the past 2 years to establish and improve communication channels between union members and the Executive Council, with a special emphasis on issues dynamically affecting Part-Time (PT) faculty. Worked with the Executive Director to create and publish advertising, recruitment, and edited videos to publish on primary social media accounts and directly communicate with membership on relevant topics.
Major Activities:

Function as the principal developer for "PT Corner" monthly educational webinars that emphasize union rights for faculty, educational practices, and support for union events and activities.

Developed and managed the Faculty Confidence & Climate Survey in November 2025 to collect information regarding faculty opinions of the SCCCD Chancellor's Cabinet and Board of Trustees members.

Lead and moderate monthly regional education and consultation calls for interdisciplinary Caregiver Support staff. Staff are located across (7) healthcare systems across Hawaii, California, Nevada, the Philippines, Guam, and the Mariana Islands.

Develop content for webinar delivery to interprofessional staff, including nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, physicians, and social workers, Topics include geriatric care, brief cognitive assessment, clinical interviewing, and disability.

The purpose of this department was to prepare postdoctoral clinical psychology fellows for advanced practice and research with Veterans who suffer with PTSD, TBI, depression, substance use, chronic pain and other co-occurring disorders. This program aimed to train psychologists to become outstanding clinical research leaders in high priority areas of mental health. Individualized, mentored research and clinical training combined state-of-the-art curriculum that emphasized research methods, statistics, epidemiology, mental health systems, quality improvement methods, education, and service delivery.
Supported community outreach events to provide evidence-based education to community leaders, state agencies, and affiliated education institutions.

The VISN 17 Center of Excellence for Research on Returning War Veterans is a unified scientific and educational center of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs designed to foster broad spectrum inquiry into the mental health problems associated with combat exposure. Furthermore, this research facility
is dedicated to developing high quality clinical providers and research professionals by training the next generation of scientist-practitioners to meet patient care needs within VA. In alignment with the VA’s statutory missions, "To educate for VA and for the Nation", this research facility conducts several tiered training programs for health profession students ranging from undergraduate research internships to post-doctoral fellowships.
